Welcome to the Tahoe Park Neighborhood Association!
FYI for Voters: Changes to our Congressional District!
Did you know that most of Tahoe Park is now in California’s 3rd Congressional District? After Proposition 50 passed in November, the new map has put most of our neighborhood in a different district for the June 2nd primary this year. The only parts of Tahoe Park that remain in the 7th Congressional District are a few blocks on the east, west and north edges of Tahoe Terrace, north of Broadway. The rest of the neighborhood has been moved to the 3rd District. That means most of us will see new names on our ballot. Ballotpedia lists the candidates for the 3rd Congressional District as: Congressman Ami Bera, Chris Bennett, Lyndon Cervantes, Heidi Hall, and Robb Tucker. So, if you’re looking for information about congressional candidates for the upcoming primary, be sure that you’re looking in the right place! You can access the new congressional district maps at the California State Assembly Commission on Elections and search by your address to find out which district you live in.
